With the upcoming release of x360Sync version 2.7.0, the new desktop client will no longer support the following operating systems:
- Windows Vista
- Mavericks v.10.9
- Yosemite v.10.10
To take advantage of x360Sync support, functionality, and ensure the integrity of your data, we recommend upgrading your operating system to supported versions.
If you or your clients are affected by this change, please note that content should remain available in the cloud and will be accessible through the web portal and registered supported devices.
Microsoft no longer supports Windows Vista; this operating system utilizes outdated, vulnerable ciphers, such as TLS 1.0, which exposes this operating system to major security threats. Additionally, Apple no longer updates OS X Mavericks v.10.9 or Yosemite v. 10.10, which makes these operating systems less secure for our partners and their clients.
A primary focus of the x360Sync product is the security and integrity of your data. To ensure that we can develop new features while maintaining high performance and security standards, we have decided that newer versions of our desktop client are no longer compatible with outdated operating systems.
Windows Vista users must update their operating systems to Windows 7 or later by following instructions provided by Microsoft.
Apple OS X Mavericks v.10.9 and Yosemite v. 10.10 users must update their operating systems to OS X El Capitan v.10.11or later by following the instructions provided by Apple.
