Problem: No IP address is assigned to the Virtual Appliance (vApp).
Cause: There is no DHCP service available on the network.
Solution: The user can manually configure the IP address of the vApp if a DHCP service is not available.
Take the following steps:
Step 1. In the vSphere Client, select the vApp and deploy the Console. In this guide, the vSphere Windows Client is used.
Step 2. The vApp will power on.
Once it has powered on, the AxBoot GRUB menu will appear.
Select the AxBoot (reconfig net) option.
Step 3. The user will now be able to manually configure the network settings of the vApp. Once the settings have been saved, the vApp will reboot to apply the changes.
Step 4. Once the vApp has rebooted, log in to the Axcient Web Application and go through the initial Service Setup. To confirm the vApp has established a tunnel with the Axcient Cloud, click the Services tab, and located the vApp in the Services page. In the Health column, confirm there is a solid green circle listed for the vApp.
